Foothill has gone a perfect 3-0 against Corning recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Cougars will head out to face off against the Cardinals at 7:30 p.m. Foothill will be strutting in after a victory while Corning will be coming in after a loss.

Foothill is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Lassen 41-7. With the Cougars ahead 20-0 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Meanwhile, Corning fell victim to Red Bluff and their airtight defense last Friday. They lost 21-0 to the Spartans. The defeat continues a trend for the Cardinals in their meetings with the Spartans: they've now lost five in a row.

Foothill's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Corning, their loss dropped their record down to 3-1.

Everything came up roses for Foothill against Corning when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 47-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
