Herbert Hoover came tearing into Saturday's match with seven straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Wayne Pioneers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Huskies also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2024.

Jessica (Jessi) Crook paced Herbert Hoover's offense, picking up nine kills. Crook got some help from Lilli Lancaster and her 13 assists. Finally, Ahaziah Smith kept Herbert Hoover's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Herbert Hoover's win bumped their record up to 25-2-1. As for Wayne, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 12 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-17 record this season.

Coincidentally, Herbert Hoover and Wayne will both be playing John Marshall the next time they take the court. The Pioneers will head out to face the Monarchs at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Huskies will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
