Softball Recap: Santa Clara Takes a Loss

Santa Clara fell victim to Saratoga and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Falcons, falling 10-0. The Bruins haven't had much luck with the Falcons recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Santa Clara's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Saratoga, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-2.

Coming up, Santa Clara will challenge Fremont at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Firebirds have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.56 runs per game on average), something the Bruins will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Saratoga, they will face off against Monta Vista at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Falcons are facing the Matadors at the right time seeing as the Matadors are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
