Baseball Game Preview: Howards Grove Tigers vs. Ozaukee Warriors

The Howards Grove Tigers will take on the Ozaukee Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Howards Grove is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.

Howards Grove fell victim to Kiel and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Raiders, falling 10-0.

Howards Grove saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lucas Pritzl, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Ozaukee won against Sheboygan Area Lutheran last Tuesday with 11 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Warriors never let the Crusaders get on the board and left with an 11-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Crusaders: they've now won nine in a row.

Joe Grabowski was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Mason Schroeder, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.

Ozaukee's victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Howards Grove, their loss dropped their record down to 2-10.

Howards Grove came out on top in a nail-biter against Ozaukee when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 6-4. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
