Soccer Game Preview: North Cobb vs. South Cobb

The North Cobb Warriors will head out on the road to challenge the South Cobb Eagles at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.

North Cobb is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to four goals two weeks ago, they were much more limited against Allatoona on Tuesday. They came up short against the Buccaneers, falling 4-0. The defeat continues a trend for North Cobb in their meetings with Allatoona: they've now lost six in a row.

Meanwhile, South Cobb kept a clean sheet against Woodland on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Wolfpack. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but South Cobb were the better team in the second half.

The win made it two in a row for South Cobb and bumps their season record up to 6-8. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored eight goals over those two matches. As for North Cobb, their loss dropped their record down to 5-11.

North Cobb might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from South Cobb when the teams last played back in April of 2025. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
