Soccer Recap: Marin Academy Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Marin Academy duked it out with San Domenico on Friday. The Wildcats fell 3-1 to the Panthers. While losing is never fun, Marin Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 797th, while San Domenico are ranked 345th).

Marin Academy's goal came courtesy of Parker Hess, which was the first he's scored this season.

Marin Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-5-1. As for San Domenico, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1-1.

Marin Academy has already played their next match, a 1-0 defeat against University on the 14th. As for San Domenico, they will head out to face off against Lick-Wilmerding at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.
