Softball Recap: Alta-Aurelia Takes a Loss

Alta-Aurelia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Cherokee Washington Braves. The Warriors were not able to make up for their loss to the Braves from their previous meeting back in June of 2024.

Alta-Aurelia's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Cherokee Washington, their victory ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-4.

Alta-Aurelia didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 8-0 loss against East Sac County on the 6th. As for Cherokee Washington, they have also already played their next game, a 6-3 defeat against West Monona on the 7th.
