Softball Recap: Summerville Gets the Win

Summerville's rock-solid pitchers showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout on Monday. They never let the West Ashley Wildcats get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. Considering the Green Wave have won ten contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Summerville's victory bumped their record up to 21-1. As for West Ashley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-8.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Summerville will challenge rival Fort Dorchester at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Green Wave 0.9, the Patriots 2.5) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, West Ashley is set to square off against their familiar foe Ashley Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
