Basketball Recap: Grinnell Takes a Loss

Grinnell lost against Clear Creek-Amana back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Grinnell Tigers fell 65-53 to the Clear Creek-Amana Clippers. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 224th, while the Clippers are ranked 78th).

Grinnell's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Clear Creek-Amana, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 13-6 record this season.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Grinnell Tigers face off against the Benton Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Clear Creek-Amana has already played their next contest (against Cherokee Washington), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
