Baseball Game Preview: Kittitas Coyotes vs. Tonasket Tigers

The Kittitas Coyotes will face off against the Tonasket Tigers at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Kittitas' favor as the squad sits on seven straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Tonasket has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.

Kittitas is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against White Swan on Friday as Kittitas made off with a 15-2 victory. The Coyotes haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Tonasket and Brewster, and Brewster kept the tradition alive. Tonasket lost 13-1 to Brewster on Saturday.

Tonasket saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isaiah Spangler, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Spangler is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.

Kittitas' victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Tonasket, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.

Kittitas skirted past Tonasket 7-6 when the teams last played back in May of 2017. Does Kittitas have another victory up their sleeve, or will Tonasket turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
