Basketball Recap: Woodbury Comes Up Short

Woodbury was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 75-55 to the Elizabeth Minutemen, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. While losing is never fun, the Thundering Herd can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 226th, while the Minutemen are ranked ninth).

Woodbury's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Elizabeth, their victory was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-3.

Woodbury has already played their next contest (against Gloucester Catholic), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Elizabeth has also has no score uploaded for their next match, this one against Westfield.
