When it comes to explaining why Boyertown lost, one person who can't be blamed is Trey Kern. Despite the final result, he scored 11 points along with seven rebounds.

Perkiomen Valley's win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.8 points per game. As for Boyertown, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost ten of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.
