Basketball Recap: West Branch Takes a Loss

After flying high against Tipton on Tuesday, West Branch came back down to earth. The Bears took a 70-54 bruising from the Solon Spartans on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Bears in their meetings with the Spartans: they've now lost four in a row.

West Branch's defeat dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Solon, they pushed their record up to 20-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

West Branch has already played their next matchup (against Anamosa), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Solon, they are taking a road trip to square off against Cherokee Washington at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
