Basketball Game Preview: Sherrard Tigers vs. Limestone Rockets

Having just played yesterday, the Sherrard Tigers will jump right back in to play the Limestone Rockets at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Sherrard knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Limestone likes a good challenge.

While Sherrard's win against Mercer County wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Tigers had just enough and edged out the Golden Eagles 55-52. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Golden Eagles: they've now won four in a row.

Limestone had taken Canton down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Friday. The Rockets fell 43-34 to the Little Giants.

Limestone has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season. As for Sherrard, their win bumped their record up to 13-4.
