After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hillsdale, Smithville was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They breezed past the Northwestern Huskies to the tune of 41-14. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Smithies considering their ten-point performance the contest before.

Smithville pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 9.0 points on average over those games. As for Northwestern, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-6.

Coming up, Smithville will square off against Rittman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Smithies 13.6, the Indians 13.1) so any points scored will be well earned. As for Northwestern, they will take on Hillsdale at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Huskies will need to watch out since the Falcons have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
