Basketball Recap: Hannah Bledsoe Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat North Daviess

Barr-Reeve won the last time they faced North Daviess and things went their way on Thursday too. The Barr-Reeve Vikings walked away with a 49-40 victory over the North Daviess Cougars.

Barr-Reeve got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Hannah Bledsoe out in front who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 boards. Bledsoe is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last five games she's played. Josie Knepp was another key player, going 6 of 11 on her way to 14 points along with five rebounds and five steals.

Barr-Reeve now has a winning record of 5-4. As for North Daviess, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Barr-Reeve will take on Bloomfield at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Barr-Reeve is facing Bloomfield at the right time seeing as Bloomfield is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for North Daviess, they will welcome Vincennes Rivet at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
