Softball Recap: TERRA Environmental's Run of Five Straight Victories Now Over

It was a good run, but TERRA Environmental unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Thursday. They came up short against the South Dade Buccaneers, falling 16-1. The game marked TERRA Environmental's lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Aryanna Hussain was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles and one RBI.

Even though they lost, TERRA Environmental was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .357 or higher in six consecutive contests.

TERRA Environmental's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for South Dade, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-7.

TERRA Environmental will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Braddock at 3:30 p.m. on April 2nd. As for South Dade, they will face off against Hialeah-Miami Lakes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hialeah-Miami Lakes is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 12.2 runs per game this season.
