Marengo came tearing into Monday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Plano Reapers as they made off with a 17-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won 16 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Marengo's victory bumped their record up to 20-7. As for Plano, they dropped their record down to 6-14-1 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Marengo is set to square off against their familiar foe Johnsburg at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Plano will challenge rival Woodstock at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
