After a string of four wins, Johnsburg's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of the Lakes Eagles by a score of 2-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Skyhawks of the 10-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Johnsburg's loss dropped their record down to 20-9. As for Lakes, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 19-10.

Johnsburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lakes, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Grayslake Central at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. The Rams' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
