The Cassville Wildcats proved they can win big last Wednesday (they won by 36) but on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Lighthouse Christian 63-61. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Cassville has posted yet this season.

When it comes to explaining why Lighthouse Christian lost, one person who can't be blamed is Logan Nigh. Despite the final result, he scored 28 points. That's the first time this season that Nigh scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lee Stinson, who scored 14 points along with nine rebounds and four steals.

Cassville's victory bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Lighthouse Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 8-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cassville will take on Strafford at TBD on Tuesday. Strafford presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Cassville in Missouri (Strafford is ranked 154th, while Cassville is ranked 401st). As for Lighthouse Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Greenfield at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Greenfield is hoping to put an end to a seven-game streak of away losses.
