Christian Brothers Academy came tearing into Thursday's game with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 35.3 points), and they left with even more momentum. Their defense stepped up to hand the Colonie Central Wolfpack a 12-0 shutout. The Brothers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wolfpack, too.

Leading Christian Brothers Academy to victory were Thomas Toher and Archie Jones. Toher rushed for 82 yards and one score, while Jones rushed for 21 yards and one touchdown.

Christian Brothers Academy's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Colonie Central, they moved to 5-4 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Coming up, Christian Brothers Academy will challenge West Genesee at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Colonie Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
