The Fairfield Central Griffins are taking a road trip to take on the Newberry Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Fairfield Central lost 9-2 to Chester on Tuesday. The Griffins haven't had much luck with the Cyclones recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Fairfield Central saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayshawn Worthy, who went 3-for-4 with one RBI. Those hits were Worthy's first of the season.

Meanwhile, Newberry came up short against Clinton on Monday, falling 16-1.
