Softball Recap: Webster City Takes a Loss

Webster City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Newman Catholic Knights.

Webster City's loss dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Newman Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record this season.

Webster City will head out on the road to square off against Hampton-Dumont/CAL at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Newman Catholic has already played their next matchup (against Roland-Story), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
