Football Game Preview: Wilbraham & Monson Academy vs. St. Paul's

Given their disadvantage in the MaxPreps state rankings, Wilbraham & Monson Academy should expect quite the challenge on Saturday. They are leaving MA behind and heading out of state to face off against St. Paul's at 5:30 PM. St. Paul's will be strutting in after a win while Wilbraham & Monson Academy will be stumbling in from a loss.

There's no need to mince words: Wilbraham & Monson Academy lost to Berkshire School last Saturday, and they lost bad. The score wound up at 8-49. This makes it the second defeat in a row for Wilbraham & Monson Academy.

You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out between St. Paul's and Canterbury School. St. Paul's made easy work of Canterbury School and carried off a 41-9 victory. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point St. Paul's had established a 34-9 advantage.

Wilbraham & Monson Academy's defeat took them down to 0-2 while St. Paul's's victory pulled them up to 2-0. In their win, St. Paul's relied heavily on sophomore Malcolm Bussey, who rushed for 151 yards and 2 touchdowns. Wilbraham & Monson Academy will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
