High school basketball rankings: Duncanville tops Preseason Texas MaxPreps Top 25

Top-ranked Panthers seek third consecutive 6A state title.
The 2021-22 high school basketball season in Texas tips off this week and MaxPreps has your look at the state's top teams. Coming off a 29-1 campaign last winter, Duncanville owns the No. 1 spot in our preseason rankings.
The Panthers ended the year ranked No. 6 in the nation after capturing their fifth Class 6A state title and fourth consecutive national MaxPreps Top 25 finish. Duncanville debuted at No. 5 in the nation this season behind MaxPreps All-American candidate
Ronald Holland.
Additional defending state champions include Beaumont United (5A), Argyle (4A), Cole (3A), Clarendon (2A) and Texline (1A). Two of those schools appear in the rankings below.
