With a playoff win on the line, Red Mountain rose to the challenge on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Corona del Sol Aztecs, sneaking past 2-0. The victory was familiar territory for the Mountain Lions, who have now won six contests in a row.

The result came thanks to Maddox Loria's shutout, as he gave up just a hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Carter Macanas, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one double.

Red Mountain's win bumped their record up to 24-5. As for Corona del Sol, they moved to 23-6 with that loss, which also ended their seven-game winning streak.

Red Mountain does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Corona del Sol, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 13-5 victory against O'Connor on the 13th.
