Basketball Recap: Tri-Central Comes Up Short

Tri-Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. 2025 welcomed they with a 46-22 loss courtesy of the Daleville Broncos. The matchup marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Leading Daleville to victory were Trishell Johnson and Olivia Pratcher. Johnson went 5 of 12 en route to 13 points along with seven boards and six steals, while Pratcher went 6 of 14 on her way to 13 points in addition to eight assists and four steals. Johnson has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Addisyn Gothrup, who posted 14 points and three steals.

Tri-Central's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Daleville, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 8-5 record this season.

Tri-Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 45-39 loss against Peru on the 8th. As for Daleville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 46-40 win against Southern Wells on the 7th.
