Basketball Recap: Saturday's Loss Ends Thomasville's Winning Streak + How To Watch

Thomasville and East Laurens squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Thomasville had to settle for second. They fell 55-45 to the Falcons. The contest marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite the loss, Thomasville saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Harmony Bryant dropped a double-double with 22 points and 15 boards. Bryant has been hot for a while, having posted nine or more rebounds the last 12 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Justyce Cole, who posted ten points and five steals.

Deanna Lowther had another great game (as she tends to do), dropping a double-double with 20 points and 13 boards for East Laurens. Another player making a difference was Jameria Bing, who put up 12 points and four steals.

With the defeat, Thomasville broke their 18-game winning streak and moved their record to 25-4. As for East Laurens, they are on a roll lately: they've won 18 of their last 19 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-4 record this season.
