Baseball Recap: Pocatello Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Pocatello waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Borah Lions by a score of 9-6.

The team relied heavily on Evan Giesbrecht, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. He has become a key player for Pocatello: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 0-3 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Gentry MacRory, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

Pocatello was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2025.

The win got Pocatello back to even at 3-3. As for Borah, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.

Pocatello didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 11-7 victory against Nampa on the 20th. As for Borah, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 7-3 defeat against South Fremont on the 21st.
