Volleyball Recap: R.J. Reynolds Comes Up Short + How To Watch

R.J. Reynolds was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Northwest Guilford Vikings. If the Demons were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Vikings when the teams met back in August of 2019, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-10, 25-17.

Sylvia Fitzgerald paced R.J. Reynolds' offense, picking up six kills. Fitzgerald got some help from Isabella Neff and her five assists. Fitzgerald was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Leading Northwest Guilford to victory were Londynn Hamilton and Sela Gregory. Hamilton had five digs and two aces, while Gregory had seven digs. Those five digs gave Hamilton a new career-high.

R.J. Reynolds' loss dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Northwest Guilford, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-7.
