Baseball Recap: Moline Comes Up Short

Moline was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Normal University Pioneers. The game marked the Maroons' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Moline's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Normal University, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.

Moline will host Quincy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Blue Devils will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Maroons surely won't give up without a fight. As for Normal University, they will head out to face off against Glenwood at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
