Football Recap: East River's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

East River had lost four straight headed into Tuesday's game, but Kadence Land didn't let it get to five. The East River Falcons secured a 19-13 W over the Innovation Bulls on Tuesday thanks in part to Land, who rushed for 55 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 116 yards and one touchdown. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in rushing yards.

East River didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Addison Riley and Jasmine Allen. Allen also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with seven.

East River's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Innovation, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Coincidentally, East River and Innovation will both be playing Lake Buena Vista the next time they take the field. Innovation will head out to face Lake Buena Vista at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while East River will host them at 7:00 p.m. on March 12th.
