Soccer Recap: Locust Grove's Losing Streak Snapped at Three Games

Locust Grove took a ten-goal loss the last time they faced off against Webster, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Pirates never let the Warriors get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory on Tuesday. The win was a breath of fresh air for Locust Grove as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Jace Curtis, which was the first he's scored this season.

Locust Grove's victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Webster, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-5-1.

Looking ahead, Locust Grove will venture away from home to square off against Fort Gibson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Fort Gibson will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Locust Grove surely won't give up without a fight. As for Webster, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Central at 7:00 p.m. on the 29th.
