Basketball Game Preview: Columbia River Rapids vs. Washougal Panthers

The Columbia River Rapids will face off against the Washougal Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Columbia River is coming into the contest hot, having won their last 11 games.

On Tuesday, Columbia River escaped with a win against Woodland by the margin of a single free throw, 42-41.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Washougal). They blew past Hockinson, posting a 69-36 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Panthers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Columbia River's win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-1. As for Washougal, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-7.

Columbia River beat Washougal 41-32 in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. Does Columbia River have another victory up their sleeve, or will Washougal turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
