Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for West Liberty

West Liberty had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 68-53 win over the Wilton Beavers. This was payback for the Comets, who suffered a 56-43 defeat the last time these two teams met.

West Liberty has also been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 7-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.4 points per game. As for Wilton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Liberty will head out to challenge Tipton at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wilton, they will head out on the road to take on Regina at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Regina will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something Wilton surely won't give up without a fight.
