Volleyball Recap: Montini Catholic Takes a Loss

Montini Catholic saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Columbia Eagles. The Broncos have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Victoria Reed paced Montini Catholic's offense, picking up six kills. Reed got some help from Avalyn DeKeyser and her 20 assists.

Montini Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 18-12. As for Columbia, the win (which was their 16th in a row) raised their record to 30-1.

Montini Catholic and Columbia should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Broncos will challenge Resurrection at 6:00 p.m. on Monday with a big rank advantage (52 vs. 237). Meanwhile, Columbia (ranked tenth) will meet Waterloo (ranked 41st) at 6:15 p.m. on Monday.
