Softball Recap: Clairemont Chieftains vs. Olympian Eagles

Clairemont was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Olympian on Friday. The Chieftains put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 11-1 win. With that victory, the Chieftains brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

Gigi Villalpando tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.
