Softball Recap: Woodville Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Woodville can now relate to. They came up short against the Kirbyville Wildcats on Saturday, falling 12-2. The Eagles have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Kamron Runnels was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs.

Woodville's defeat dropped their record down to 8-18. As for Kirbyville, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 26-6.

While Woodville had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
