Softball Recap: Westfield Bulldogs vs. Langley Saxons
It was a good run, but Westfield unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (9-6), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. Carley Austin and Rylee Schmid did some serious damage despite the final result: Austin went 2-for-2 with a home run, three RBI, and a stolen base, while Schmid scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Jaelynn Vinaya, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
Westfield's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Langley, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-2.
