Softball Recap: Park Hill Trojans vs. Lee's Summit Tigers

Park Hill lost to Lee's Summit back in August, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Park Hill Trojans put the hurt on the Lee's Summit Tigers with a sharp 11-1 win. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 games by six runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Jade Tucker, who went 3-for-4 with a home run, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Allison Gonier, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and a triple.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Park Hill didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and finished the game with ten strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lee's Summit only tossed six.

The victory was the third in a row for Park Hill, bringing their record for this year to 22-7. As for Lee's Summit, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 14-19.

Park Hill will take on Fort Osage at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Park Hill's pitching crew has only allowed 2.2 runs per game this season, so Fort Osage's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Lee's Summit, they will welcome Belton at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
