Volleyball Recap: Collegiate Medicine & Bioscience Comes Up Short

Collegiate Medicine & Bioscience was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Alton Redbirds, falling 3-0. The Owls were not able to make up for their defeat to the Redbirds from their previous meeting back in May of 2025.

While Collegiate Medicine & Bioscience ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-17, 25-21.

Zuwa Okoro paced Collegiate Medicine & Bioscience's offense, picking up five kills. Okoro got some help from Amir Al-Husseiny and his 13 assists.

Collegiate Medicine & Bioscience's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Alton, their victory ended a seven-match drought on the road and puts them at 4-20.

Collegiate Medicine & Bioscience wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Bishop DuBourg on the 11th. As for Alton, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Father McGivney Catholic on the 11th.
