Volleyball Recap: Pungo Christian Academy Takes a Loss

If Pungo Christian Academy was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Northeast Academy on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Raiders came up short against the Arendell Parrott Academy Patriots on Monday, falling 3-0. The Raiders were not able to make up for their loss to the Patriots from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-4, 25-12.

Henly Gibbs paced Pungo Christian Academy's offense, picking up two kills. Gibbs also shared the team's lead in assists with Patricia Pugh: they picked up three each.

Pungo Christian Academy has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. As for Arendell Parrott Academy, they pushed their record up to 16-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Pungo Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Lawrence Academy on the 30th. As for Arendell Parrott Academy, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against John Paul II Catholic on the 30th.
