Baseball Recap: Three Rivers Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Three Rivers entered their tilt with Brackett on Thursday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Tigers, sneaking past 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bulldogs have posted since March 17th.

Lathan Meyer was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over 6.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits. Meyer was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Meyer wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Dylan Ender, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one stolen base. Ender is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Walker Fox was another, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Three Rivers' win bumped their record up to 11-12. As for Brackett, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-14.

Looking ahead, Three Rivers is taking a road trip to challenge La Pryor at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Three Rivers' pitchers better be ready for this one: La Pryor has averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season. As for Brackett, they will be playing at home against D'Hanis at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will need to watch out since the Cowboys have now posted at least ten runs in their last four matchups.
