Volleyball Recap: Marina Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Marina was the 3-0 winner over North Monterey County when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Mariners fell just short of the Condors by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. While the Mariners didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Condors 25-19 in the first set.

Marina took North Monterey County into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking 13-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-21, 25-21, 19-25, 15-2.

Marina has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for North Monterey County, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Marina will square off against rival St. Francis at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, North Monterey County is set to challenge their familiar foe Seaside at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
