Baseball Recap: French Settlement Takes a Loss

French Settlement fell victim to Catholic of Pointe Coupee and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They fell just short of the Hornets by a score of 2-0. The Lions' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

French Settlement got a good showing from Noah Parrish, who tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. The dominant performance also gave Parrish a new career-low in walks (zero).

French Settlement now has a losing record of 12-13. As for Catholic of Pointe Coupee, their victory bumped their record up to 10-13.

While French Settlement had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
