Baseball Game Preview: Lee-Scott Academy Warriors vs. Glenwood Gators

For the second straight game, Lee-Scott Academy will face off against Glenwood. The Warriors will take on the Gators at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Lee-Scott Academy hasn't scored more than two runs for three games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

Lee-Scott Academy will bounce into Friday's game after beating Glenwood, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Warriors came out on top in a nail-biter against the Gators on Thursday, sneaking past 2-1.

Davis MacIsaac looked comfortable as he tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 13 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Lee-Scott Academy's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Smith Harkins, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

Lee-Scott Academy is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Glenwood, their loss ended a 13-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 21-4-1.
