Basketball Recap: Gilbert Comes Up Short

Gilbert was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 73-45 loss at the hands of the Silver Bluff Bulldogs.

Silver Bluff found their leader in sophomore Lance Hieke Jr., who shot 53% from the field on his way to 25 points and five boards. Zean Dicks was another key player, putting up eight points along with 12 rebounds and four steals.

Gilbert's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Silver Bluff, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Gilbert has already played their next contest, a 76-35 loss against Horse Creek Academy on the 3rd. As for Silver Bluff, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 69-64 defeat against South Aiken on the 3rd.
