Basketball Game Preview: McCook Central/Montrose Fighting Cougars vs. Tri-Valley Mustangs

The McCook Central/Montrose Fighting Cougars will face off against the Tri-Valley Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Tri-Valley took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on McCook Central/Montrose, who comes in off a win.

McCook Central/Montrose is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Philip 85-43 on Saturday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Fighting Cougars with their most commanding win of the season.

Meanwhile, Tri-Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 60-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Milbank.

The win got McCook Central/Montrose back to even at 9-9. As for Tri-Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 4-12.

McCook Central/Montrose beat Tri-Valley 68-60 in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Will McCook Central/Montrose repeat their success, or does Tri-Valley have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
