Fox Chapel is 9-1 against Kiski Area since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Foxes are taking a road trip to square off against the Cavaliers at 4:00 p.m. The last three games Fox Chapel has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Monday, it was close, but Fox Chapel sidestepped West Allegheny for a 4-2 victory.

Jeremy Haigh made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over 6.2 innings pitched. Haigh was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March.

Haigh wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Kris Bandurski, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

11 must be Kiski Area's lucky number: they beat Penn Hills with that score not once but twice on Wednesday. The Cavaliers beat the Indians by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 11-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cavaliers.

Fox Chapel is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for Kiski Area, they picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 4-13.

Fox Chapel came out on top in a nail-biter against Kiski Area in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Foxes since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
