Basketball Recap: Izard County's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

Izard County entered their matchup against Sloan-Hendrix on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Izard County Cougars took a 52-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sloan-Hendrix Greyhounds. The contest marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Izard County's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-2. As for Sloan-Hendrix, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Izard County will head out to square off against Cedar Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Izard County is facing Cedar Ridge at the right time seeing as Cedar Ridge is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Sloan-Hendrix, they are taking a road trip to face off against Concord at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
